About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Design (Hybrid UX and Brand Design) Intern who thrives at the intersection of UX, service design, and visual design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys thinking holistically about the employee and customer experience, wants to explore brand strategy in digital and physical spaces, and is eager to grow through hands-on, impactful projects.
You will collaborate closely with the Design Lead and cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Communications, Business Development, and Engineering—to shape how our brand comes alive across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Event Design Toolkit
    • Interview Marketing and Business Development team members to understand their workflows for events.
    • Create a templatized solution for planning small, medium, and large events, including:
      • Event planning checklists
      • Visual and communication guidelines
      • Presentation templates and other event collateral
    • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to ensure alignment with brand tone and messaging.
  2. Employee-Centric Branded Assets & Merchandise
    • Treat employees as “internal customers” to understand their needs for brand stationery and merchandise (e.g., envelopes, shopping bags, boxes, business card cases, VIP guest gifts).
    • Conduct short interviews with Business Development and Sales team members to collect input and align designs with functional needs.
    • Help plan and eventually set up a small internal store for employees and partners to access branded merchandise.
  3. Brand Guide as an AI-Powered Agent
    • Develop a comprehensive brand guide to be used by employees across the company.
    • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enable the brand guide as an AI agent in Slack, providing language-based guidance on principles, correct usage, and brand consistency.
    • Contribute to Stage 2: evolve the guide into a VLLM-powered agent that can also surface visual assets via language-based search.
  4. Customer Onboarding Journey Mapping
    • In partnership with the Design Lead, map the customer onboarding journey.
    • Identify key touchpoints to embed brand personality and enhance the user experience.
  5. Ongoing Design Support
    • Manage and update presentation templates for internal and external use.
    • Provide social media brand assets for ongoing campaigns.
    • Offer UI design support for demos and other design needs as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Who You Are

You are a design generalist with exposure to UX, service design, and visual/graphic design, excited by the convergence of brand, technology, and human experience. You’re comfortable conducting interviews and research to gather insights, and you approach challenges with curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset. Nimble and resourceful, you thrive in dynamic environments and quickly adjust to shifting priorities. Highly collaborative, you communicate and present ideas clearly, contributing effectively in cross-functional settings.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree/certificate in Design (UX, Service Design, Visual Design, Communication Design) or a related field
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Miro (or similar)
  • Basic understanding of brand guidelines, UI components, and asset libraries
  • Interest in AI-powered design tools and innovation in brand experience
